Michelle Phillip's "In the Light of Day"

Venvi Art Gallery, will present, “In the Light of Day” by Michelle Phillips (formerly Michelle Wilcox) with an opening reception from 5-8 p.m. Sept. 2.
In her second solo exhibition at Venvi Art Gallery, Phillips continues her reflections on the simple beauties that decorate our lives, with an emphasis on scenes that reside in the home. Her graceful compositions, paired with her use of natural light and impeccable choice of colors, capture a precious moment in time and a tranquil place of refuge.

Venvi Art Gallery goes to the garden for “Fruits of Labor” by Bella Falbo, with an opening reception from 5-8 p.m. Friday. The show will be open from June 3 to July 28 the gallery at 2901 East Park Ave.

For her first solo show with Venvi Art Gallery, Falbo is exploring the complexities of vulnerability and relationships, using fruit as a metaphor. Her hyper-realistic and vibrant compositions conjure a range of emotions and inspire viewers to reflect upon their own relationships with themselves and others.

Dan Taylor's solo exhibit 'Spectrum' opens at Venvi Gallery

Venvi Art Gallery is pleased to present “Spectrum” a solo exhibition by local artist, Dan Taylor. Returning for his fifth solo show with Venvi, Taylor is bringing a new focus to this body of work by exploring and celebrating humanity’s wide spectrum of diversity through colorful abstract compositions.

The wide array of colors, textures, and compositions that make up the show, is inspired by the artist’s contemplations on the world and our society. This embrace of diversity shows Taylor’s appreciation for all of mankind and a celebration of our uniqueness.

In her debut solo exhibition, Twilight Sleep, at Venvi Art Gallery in Tallahassee, Florida, Carrie Ann Baade presents imagery that reflects on the female experience. She does not shy away from difficult and real-life issues, which are represented by allegorical symbols and figures in collage-like compositions. Her paintings are considered autobiographical as well with first-person storytelling throughout.

While technological advancements have made human life more convenient and comfortable, the natural landscape and its inhabitants are too often violated and left to deal with the consequences we created for them and in return, for ourselves as well.

Silk threads have family history in Brinda Pamulapati's 'Saree Series' at Venvi Gallery

Artist Brinda Pamulapati’s fingers pull apart slivers of silk. She carefully places them in long strips on canvas and begins to paint around their edges. A symphony of colors spirals outwards from the silver and gold brocaded borders.

These 50-year-old sarees once belonged to her mother and are now the repurposed focal points of her “Saree Series.” These mixed-media works will be featured at Pamulapati’s solo show, “Revitalization,” at Venvi Art Gallery this August.
