Part of a design series, I'm playing with the dark central rectangle and patterned lighter surrounding. I'm using lines and shadows to cut up space. Then to unify that space, I painted the thin black lines to tie it all back together. This piece reminds me of looking into outer space through a telescope. Obviously spherical elements can be planets while the outer black lines of circles and squares take you to the experience of looking through a powerful lens.
