From my “Gods and Goddesses” series. Dionysus was also known as the lifeblood element in nature, the protector of misfits, and the god of chaos.

I’ve always been intrigued by the stories of the Greek gods and goddesses. These myths tell stories of an ancient culture where the lives of humans and deities were completely intertwined.  Their gods offered a way of explaining events that were hard to understand. Depicting these deities using abstract compositions is my way of bringing the spirit of classical myth into the twenty-first century.
