    Hand printed monotype transfer on Thai Unryu Paper


    This piece is made using Leon Hicks’ copyrighted method of the monotype printing. He creates rubbings using oil-based pastels drawn onto a mylar sheet. The mylar sheet is burnished using Elmer’s glue and a graphic stick marker. The burnishing is rubbed over the front side of the mylar sheet and placed onto the Thai Unryu paper.
